Who can make a sandwich? …Or 10 or 50?
U2C3 Social Justice – Lunch Bag Makers Needed – a Tacos Not Bombs Partnership
Members of U2C3, friends from the community, and the folks at Tacos not Bomb come together each month to help to provide lunches for our unsheltered neighbors at Artesian Park each month. U2C3 is committed to providing 200 sandwiches on the 4th Sunday of every month. The U2C3 social justice group needs your help to make this happen! We can help provide supplies and support. You can make as many sandwich bags as you want. This is a great family, spousal or single activity for a Saturday afternoon. We will pick up and deliver. These meals are coordinated through a WhatsApp channel.
Contributions of food items such as bread, peanut butter, jelly, healthy snacks, and sturdy fruit like apples and oranges are being collected on an ongoing basis. We also accept monetary donations, contributions will be used to purchase food and related supplies. If you would like to drop off items on Sunday, there will be a collection basket in front of the office in the foyer. Tacos Not Bombs is a community initiative that provides a hot meal, as well as bagged “to go” lunches for the homeless and hungry every Sunday in Artesian Park. Please contact Joann Raskin at email@example.com for more information or to plan a drop-off/pick-up.
All members & friends are welcome to join the efforts of the Social Justice Outreach Team
