At the Unitarian Universalist Church of Corpus Christi, we’re thrilled to enhance the family experience by expanding our Religious Exploration program and offering childcare during Sunday morning worship services and other church events. To make this vision a reality, we’re in search of dedicated RE volunteers with a positive attitude and a passion for growth and learning.

As a volunteer, you’ll play a pivotal role in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, games, and storytelling, fostering children’s growth and development. Maintaining a secure and nurturing environment for the children in your care will also be one of your duties, supported by training in child development and safety protocols. We aim to build a team of 6–8 individuals who can rotate duties to accommodate their schedules. If you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow in your role, we invite you to consider joining our team.

If you or someone you know is interested in the Childcare Coordinator position or volunteering as a member of the RE team, please send a resume or a letter of interest to Hanna Kiely, our Director of Religious Exploration, at redirector@uucorpus.org. In your letter or resume, please share your interest, experience, and any questions you may have. We welcome applicants over the age of 18.

Together, we can provide care and support for our entire community through this essential ministry. We sincerely appreciate your help in making this program a success. Thank you for your commitment to supporting families at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Corpus Christi.

In our Unitarian Universalist community, the safety and well-being of young individuals are paramount. To that end, all individuals working with children, both staff and volunteers, undergo comprehensive background screenings to ensure their protection and flourishing.
