The Logos Theology of the Early Christian Church

The first chapter of the Gospel of John sets out in very concise terms a fairly complex theological notion, the concept of the Logos, popularized by pre-Christian neo-platonic philosophy and adapted to trinitarian theology by the Gospel writer. This presentation will discuss linguistic insights to be gained from the original Greek text as well as the implications of the Christian conception. Logos theology provides some answers to those who find science and faith irreconcilable.
