Have you ever disagreed with someone so completely that you thought the other person might be from a different world? You could be correct. How is that possible? The purpose of this message is to offer a possible answer to that question. Understanding the way we make sense of our surroundings may better enable us to live our UU values and help us connect with those who seem to live on another planet.

Jim Adams was born and raised in Bartlesville, OK. After college at Oklahoma Baptist University, he was invited to join the Army, where he received training as a clinical lab administrator and served for 21 years, followed by 26 years in various civilian hospitals. In 2017, he retired and, with his wife, Wrene, settled in Corpus Christi to enjoy family, the climate, and the coastal bend area. He has been a U2C3 member since 2021. He enjoys playing piano for services and keyboard for the band, helps tend the church grounds, and is a member of the worship team. He and Wrene have a son, a daughter, and four grandchildren.
