Punk Music and Activism

Join us for a retrospective on punk music and culture. In this discussion we will be exploring themes of perseverance, inclusion and going against the grain of society.

Rob Allen is a lifelong Unitarian Universalist and musician. With a broad experience in music ranging from liturgical settings to dive bars, he has gained an appreciation for many styles and has become familiar with a handful of instruments. Some of these experiences include playing the trumpet with Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps, singing with local ska-punk band The Escape Tones, and serving as a chorister for St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Serving the congregation as both the church’s choir director and member of the band since 2020, he thoroughly enjoys bringing music to you weekly.
