Third spaces, as defined by American sociologist Ray Oldenburg, are those spaces outside of home (first) and work (second). In addition to access to books and other media that can be borrowed, libraries provide much more. Join us for information and 3 perspectives on challenges faced by our local public libraries that distract from this important third space. In addition to its relevance to the First Amendment, this important topic is especially relevant into the 4th and 5th principles of Unitarian Universalism.
