An interactive, discussion-based service

Time to watch and discuss! The congregation is asked to watch the limited series Immigration Nation on Netflix to prepare for some in-church discussion of Episode 3, Power of the Vote.  With unprecedented access to ICE operations, as well as moving portraits of immigrants, Immigration Nation is a six-part docuseries that takes a deep look at US immigration today. Episode 3 focuses on 287(g), the program under which local law enforcement partners with ICE to “identify and remove aliens.” Locally, the Nueces County Sheriff has participated in 287(g) agreements since 2017.
