| Dear Community Members, In light of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in our community, your safety and well-being remain our paramount concern. We find ourselves once again at a high-risk level, necessitating proactive measures to protect all of us. Here are the essential steps we strongly recommend: 1. Mask Up for Maximum Protection: We urge all attendees and visitors to wear high-quality N95/KN95 masks that fit securely during all our gatherings. As an additional precaution, we have temporarily relocated our post-service coffee and lemonade gatherings to help minimize close contact. 2. CDC Guidance on Exposure and Testing: Should you have known exposure to someone with COVID-19 or test positive yourself, it is crucial to follow CDC guidelines. Quarantine for a minimum of 5 days and continue wearing a high-quality, well-fitting N95/KN95 mask for at least 3 days after when in public. Even if you are fully vaccinated and have received booster shots, it is advisable to reach out to your healthcare provider for testing if you experience symptoms like fever, cough, congestion, headaches, or general malaise. 3. Stay Up-to-Date with Vaccinations: We strongly recommend that all eligible age groups remain current with COVID-19 vaccinations, including booster shots. Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and the community. 4. Reporting Positive Cases: If you happen to test positive for COVID-19 after attending one of our services or meetings, please take the responsible step of promptly informing our church administrator at administrator@uucorpus.org. Your well-being remains our top priority, and we deeply appreciate your cooperation and support as we navigate these challenging times together.
